The Wanna Be Remodel, Week Two

The Wanna Be Remodel, Week Two

Oh my, so much has already happened in little over a week, so much that it doesn’t look like much. You see, there’s always this point in the remodel where time has passed, and work has taken place, but yet it still doesn’t look like much except a mess. And that’s where we’re at, still cleaning up and fixing the mess.

Now you see it…

And now you don’t…

Cabinets purchased on Craigslist for $130.
Cabinets being prepped for painting.

New super primer I found, don’t even have to sand. I like!

Goes on nice & thick.
You think the hubby will notice the missing drywall?
Still so much yard clean up left too…

Stalls to be dug out…

How does one go about breaking a corral gate?

In two places?

Or destroy the neighbors fencing?

Brave souls getting ready to weed whack the back yard…ugh.
And then to top it all off, the wheelbarrow decided to break…

But I fixed it, made the boys proud with my duct tape repair.
I should look happy, but I’m just too hot to be.

Much better as I’m in air conditioning, but that speck on my lips? It’s paint…I managed to get the ceilings painted on Sunday and the overspray got everywhere. This was after the semi clean-up I did before going to grab a bite of lunch, and after my son threw a phillips screwdriver stabbing me in the neck. Another story for another time, but you should’ve seen my legs, they were a ghostly white from all the overspray, and I’m really tan.

Off to week #3…
